Bankview, located in the inner South-West part of the Beltline district, Calgary, Alberta is a residential neighborhood surrounded by 26th Avenue SW on the south, 19th Street SW on the west, 17th Avenue SW on the north and 14th Street SW on the east. It is one of the oldest regions and provides a panoramic and attractive view of the city.
It also has its share of recreational activities. The Bankview community has an operational tennis court in addition to several functional playgrounds scattered throughout the city. Bankview is famous for the heritage building called Nimmons residence, which was built in the year 1884, and is situated on the north-east edge of Bankview. The city was redesigned in 1950 after the neighborhood was established in 1908.
