Abbeydale, in the north-east region of Calgary, Alberta is a residential neighborhood bordered to the east by the East Freeway, to the north by Trans-Canada Highway, to the west by 68 Street E and the south by the Canadian National Railway tracks.
The Abbeydale community was under the Rockyview jurisdiction until 1976, when it was annexed by the City Council. The community of the neighborhood has a large youth and child population and incorporates both a private as well as a public school
The Abbeydale neighborhood is mainly residential, with its only commercial attraction being a strip mall. A convenient feature of this region is that the Downtown can be accessed easily by either 16th Avenue or Memorial Drive.
